Nise Yamaguchi receives award at NCID 2019

Nise Yamaguchi is a medical oncologist who focuses on treating patients and making their lives as comfortable as possible. She has managed to develop and maintain many important contacts internationally and is widely recognised as playing an important role in introducing treatment advances and improvements in patient care to Brazil and other parts of the world. Her commitment to her patients and her tireless work to improve Cancer Control in Brazil has led directly to considerable progress in cancer patient care.

Dr Yamaguchi is widely known and respected internationally and her advice is frequently sought by national and international organisations. In recognition of her lifetime commitment to Oncology and oncology patients, it is a pleasure to recognise this by the award of the World Prevention Alliance/ International Prevention Research Institute for her contribution to Cancer Control.
