iPRI signs MOU with INEN

The International Prevention Research Institute (iPRI) is delighted to announce the signature of a Memorandum of Understanding with the Instituto Nacional de Enfermedades Neoplásicas (INEN) (National Institute of Neoplastic Diseases), based in Lima, Peru. This was signed in Lima by Dr Eduardo Payet Meza, Institutional Head of INEN, and Dr Peter Boyle, President of iPRI. INEN is the National Cancer Institute of Peru specializing in the prevention, detection, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of people affected by cancer or neoplastic diseases. It also has a key role in training of medical students and oncology specialists. INEN was established in 1939 and remains an essential component of the Ministry of Health of Peru for Cancer Control.

INEN’s mission is to protect, promote, and ensure the prevention of cancer, patient care, with priority to persons of limited economic resources and control, technical and administrative services at the national level health of the neoplastic diseases, and conducting research and teaching.
iPRI and INEN have a long history of collaboration which both parties look forward to further developing through this agreement.
