Keynote at St. Luke’s

October 26, 2016

Dublin, Friday 21 October, 2016 – Today, Professor Peter Boyle gave the keynote lecture, on the topic of Global Public Health, at the Advanced Masterclass during the St. Luke’s Symposium at the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland (RCPI). The Advanced Masterclass focuses on recent discoveries that have changed clinical practice.

Each year the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland celebrates the feast day of St. Luke, the patron saint of Physicians. St. Luke’s Day (18th October) has been celebrated by the College since 1667, and is the official start of the College’s year. The St. Luke’s Symposium is the most prestigious occasion in the college calendar, and has evolved from being a day of celebration into St. Luke’s Symposium; a week long programme of talks, events, lectures and public meetings that celebrates achievements in medicine, promotes health and sharing of knowledge amongst doctors and health practitioners in Ireland.
