February 23, 2015

The University of Strathclyde Institute for Global Public Health at iPRI is pleased to launch the Master’s Programme in Global Public Health for the September 2015 entry.

The Master’s Programme is a unique, high-level programme that merges the strengths of both institutions. The course was designed in response to the international need to improve global Public Health and to contribute to capacity building necessary for its successful implementation. It is open to every student (suitable for recently qualified graduates or those already employed).

During the first year, the programme emphasizes the basics in Epidemiology, Biostatistics and Public Health, at iPRI in Lyon, France. iPRI invites internationally renowned leaders in their fields as guest professors to participate in some courses.

During the second year the students apply the skills acquired in the first year to global public health issues via a variety of modules such as Provision of Drinking Water, Sanitation, Public Health Law, Civil Engineering, Nutrition and Physical Activity. Courses take place at University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, UK.

Applications for September 2015 entry to full-time MSc Global Public Health are now open via www.i-pri.org/institute or http://www.strath.ac.uk/courses/postgraduatetaught/globalpublichealth/.
