William R. Miller
William R. Miller is an Emeritus Professor at the University of Edinburgh, in the United Kingdom. He completed his BSc and PhD degrees at the University of Leeds before receiving a DSc from the University of Edinburgh. William R. Miller is past Chairman of the Scientific Advisory Board of the Breast Cancer Campaign, past Chairman of the British Breast Group, and was Secretary to the British Association for Cancer Research. He is a member of various editorial boards, including the British Journal of Cancer, New Directions in Endocrine Treatment of Breast Cancer, and The Breast. William R. Miller has published more than 250 articles and made more than 100 presentations at national and international societies and symposia. His research interests include cell biology and tumour endocrinology of breast cancer. Current activity centres on organising and running scientific meetings and editing proceedings – most notably ‘Controversies in Breast Cancer’, an annual symposium which is now in its ninth year (proceedings are published in Breast Cancer Research).
